How to Solve Rubiks Cube with some Simple Steps

How to Solve Rubiks Cube with some Simple Steps

Before I start to explain you about solving this piece of magic cube, I would like to tell you one thing- never feel bad when you can't solve it in the first attempt. I myself took around a month to figure out the entire process. During initial days I would find myself in a difficult position- if I solve one face and move on to solve another, the first solved face would be gone. So, I advise you guys to take your own time and get familiar with the cube. Before you read this post I want everyone to practice, solving minimum one face repeatedly. The more you twist and turn the cube the more proficient you would be with the Rubik's Cube.

So, let's get started.😊

I m not going to postmortem the cube. I would only provide you with steps leading to complete the cube. No, emphasize on the naming and other fundamental things or parts of the cube that would be discussed in this post. The main thing why I m avoiding such nomenclature is to avoid many complications and to keep as simple as possible. The moves which will lead to solving the puzzle will be discussed here.

For convenience, I m dividing the topic into the following parts:-

1.) Form a cross with Yellow center and Four Whites
2.) Form White Cross
3.) Complete White Face
4.) Finish the Middle Layer
5.) Form Yellow Cross
6.) Aligning all Centres
7.) Finishing Yellow Face

1.) Form a cross with Yellow center and Four Whites:-
  • Find the Yellow Centre
  • Rotate the cube in such a manner to get four white pieces arranged around yellow pieces forming a cross.
  • This step doesn't require any tricks.
  • You have to practice by rotating the cube until you arrive at the desired shape.

2.) Form White Cross:-
  • Align the cube in such a way that the color below the white edge matches the center color piece of the cube.
  • Rotate the front face of the cube Clockwise Two times.
  • Go to the other white piece edge and check the color below it.
  • Align it with the same color piece at the center and rotate clockwise two times.
  • Do it for the remaining White pieces,
  • Turn the cube upside down to get a White crossed face.

3.) Complete White Face:-
  • Fill the remaining corners with white pieces.
  • Note:- While filling white pieces, you cannot fill it with any white pieces randomly, we have to follow some procedures.
  • Check the white piece which you wish to put in the correct position.
  • Check the color attached to the White piece.
  • If its adjacent to the green, move the white piece to the green center face,.
  • Now perform necessary rotation to fit the piece to the correct place.
  • Repeat the step until you finish the entire White Face.
  • When you will finish the white face, you will observe that the bottom layer is also arranged with the same colors.

4.) Finish the Middle Layer:-
  • Rotate the cube upside down to face the yellow centered face to the top.
  • Check the edge piece to find two colors in it.
  • Suppose for example top colour is red and below is green, rotate the red piece opposite to red centre, and rotate the white cross joining the green face and rotate the green piece to it. Shift the white pieces to the respective position. Fill the remaining white pieces in it.
  • Repeat the steps until you find the middle layer to get finished.

5.) Form Yellow Cross:-
  • After finishing the middle layer the next task is to form a yellow cross.
  • Do the following moves to achieve it,
  • Front face clockwise
  • Right side up
  • Upper layer to the left
  • Right side down
  • Upper layer to the right
  • Front face anticlockwise
  • Repeat the steps until you get a yellow cross.

6.) Aligning all Centres:-
  • Do the following moves to get all the centre and edge pieces of the cube to fall in a same line,
  • Right side up
  • Upper layer to left
  • Right side down
  • Upper layer to left
  • Right side up
  • Upper layer to left two times
  • Right side down
  • Upper layer to left
  • After you finish these moves you will get into the correct position.

7.) Finishing Yellow Face:-
  • It is the final step to complete Rubik's Cube.
  • Check the top face with a yellow centre.
  • Check whether all the non-yellow pieces are containing colours matching to the centres of the three adjoining faces.
  • Do the following moves with the non-matching piece,
  • Upper layer to Left
  • Right side up
  • Upper layer to Right
  • Left side Up
  • Upper layer to left
  • Right side down
  • Upper layer to the right
  • Left side down
  • Continue this moves until all pieces are at the correct position. (All colours surrounding the pieces matches to the centres of the adjoining three faces.)

Do the following moves with the yellow colour piece to the top right to finish Rubik's Cube:-
  • Right side bottom
  • Bottom layer to the left
  • Right side to the top
  • Bottom layer to the right
  • Repeat this until you finish the top face as well as the whole Rubik's cube.

This brings to the end of Rubik's Cube tutorial. If you practice these moves, I assure you that you can complete the cube easily without taking much time. It is to be noted that while you're doing these moves for the first time, you will commit mistakes and begin from the first moves, but you should not give up, keep trying until you finish the Rubik's Cube.

As a famous quote goes:- Keep trying until you get it right. Keep rotating the cube until you're able to figure out a way to achieve the final positions for each piece in a cube.
